CSTO delegation heads to Kyrgyzstan

The temporary operational working group of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) headed by the Secretary General Nikolai Bordyuzha left Moscow heading to Kyrgyzstan on Friday to analyse the situation in the republic, Interfax reports, citing the CSTO press-service.

PA of CSTO in Yerevan

The first visiting session of the Council of the Parliamentary Assembly of the CSTO (Collective Security Treaty Organization) will take place in Yerevan on Monday in the building of the National Assembly of Armenia, News Armenia reports, citing the parliamentary press-service.The session will be headed by the chairman of the Russian State Duma, chairman of the PA of the CSTO Boris Gryzlov. Parliamentary delegations from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia and Tajikistan will participate in the assembly.

CSTO leaders to meet in Armenia

A regular summit of leaders of Collective Security Treaty organization (CSTO) will be held in Armenia in August, the Secretary-General of CSTO Nikolay Boryuzha said on a press-conference on Friday, RIA Novosti reports.He said that it is still unknown whether the summit will be formal or not.Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan are members of CSTO.

CSTO will not use force to solve Kyrgyz inner problems

Collective Security Treaty Organization will not bring in peacekeepers to Kyrgyzstan to settle the situation, Interfax reports, citing the Secretary-General of the organization Nikolay Bordyuzha.

Sargsyan, Aliyev will not meet in Moscow

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan has no plans to meet his Azerbaijanicounterpart Ilkham Aliyev in Moscow, RIA Novosti reports, citing theArmenian president's press-secretary.An informal summit of CIS and CSTO countries will take place on May 8 in Moscow.Azerbaijani media report that the presidents plan a meeting within theframework of the summit.

Parliamentarians from the Collective Security Treaty Organization countries to discuss issues of struggle against extremism

Elaboration of agreement on struggle with extremism will be discussed today in St. Petersburg during the session of the expert and consultative council under the council of Parliamentarian assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, reports Armenia Today. There will be also discussed issues of harmonization of national laws of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation countries  in field of military and technical cooperation, forming common lists of drugs, psychotropic agents and their precursors.
